parent cannot decide how much pain their kid is supposed to feel after they hurt them
parent hitting a child can in no way perceive what kind of pain the child is feeling
a child being hit is not only feeling physical pain
they’re experiencing how it feels to be hated
humiliated
how it feels to be helpless and weak and facing a threat they can’t escape or defend from
how it feels to have your parent become the most terrifying, forceful and hateful enemy
how it feels to be betrayed
how it feels when someone you love and depend on wants nothing but to hurt you for reasons you can’t even understand
how it feels to bear the the look of pure hatred on your parent’s face, look of desire to make you feel hurt, to force you to submit, to erase your own wants and needs because they decided you’re wrong for having them, how it feels when your parent decides that you should learn through pain and suffering, that gentle ways of learning are too good for you, that only a trauma can keep you from getting on their nerves, how it feels to be reduced from a human child to a nuisance and a target to beat
how will it feel afterwards when a child is dissociated and confused and unable to even face the hatred that was just launched their way
how it will feel when their memories start missing
how it will feel two days later when they wont know when something will set off the parent again
how it will feel when they believe they’re only good for being beaten and they can’t look at themselves without the self hatred and believing they deserved it
how it will feel when someone looks them with that much hatred in their eyes again and they flinch and their hearts feels cut in half
This might come as a shock to some of you but saying “I’m not informed enough on this particular topic to have an opinion” is about 100 times more respectable than being misinformed

i really love the concept of leaving notes on the ground for other players in a game with only premade words and phrases to choose from because like
bloodborne is already fun, but seeing “it’s the scourge of the elderly” before fighting a bunch of old dudes on a bridge, or “reminescent of snake” to warn you an NPC is a traitor, "gorgeous view ahead” in front of a mirror, “reeks of wheelchair”, and my personal favorite
